Manchester is United.

Once again I find myself paying tribute to those who have fallen victim to yet another atrocious terrorist attack, but this time on my home city, Manchester. Everyday I go to work in the city, past where those poor 22 people, some of them children, have lost their lives and never could I have imagined that such evil would ever come to my city. Heart-wrenchingly it has. 
Manchester is so full of light and love. There is no stronger force than love in this world and we will not let it fade to those that are determine to weaken it. 
My city has provided so much to culture, music and football. My home line, The East Lancashire Railway runs over the border of Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Along with the ELR and its history before it, have given us so much to admire and cherish. The Flying Scotsman's triumphant return, was based heavily on the loving and devoted work by the people based in Bury, Greater Manchester. 
Today, engines with connections to Manchester and the North West of England wore wreaths to honor the victims and to pay their respects. 
Here, Bullied West Country Pacific, 'City of Wells' wore her 'Golden Arrow' flags a few months back. Though not an engine associated with Manchester, 'Wells' proudly carries the Union Jack, a symbol of unity, that is more poignant in our darkest day.
